Rush Process

Joining a Sorority is a great way to learn crucial life skills outside of the classroom. Here at Chi Omega, we believe in positively impacting the community while ensuring our members experience personal, academic and professional growth. We can’t wait to meet all of our potential members.

For those curious about learning about the Rush Process, scroll for a brief look at how recruitment works here at St. Lawrence University!

Greek 101

Greek 101 is the first day of sorority recruitment. Eligible ladies or Potential New Members (aka PNM's) get to meet each of the four sororities at St. Lawrence University - Chi Omega, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Delta Delta, and Kappa Delta Sigma. Greek 101 is a great way to introduce yourself to the houses and become familiar with the way in which Rush works.

House Tours

The second day of recruitment is house tours! This is a PNM's first glimpse into each of the four sorority houses. Each house is unique, with its own individual beauty - we, of course, are a little bias to our home at 18 Elm. House Tours are a great way to get to know the girls in each house, while providing PNMs the opportunity to picture themselves in a potential new home.

Philanthropy Night

Philanthropy Night is the third day of recruitment. PNM's will learn about how each sorority makes a difference on campus and within the surrounding community. Chi Omega is proud to stand with the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Preference Night

The fourth day of recruitment is Preference Night. By this time in the recruitment process PNM's will have their preferred house choices narrowed down to at most two sorority houses. This night gives PNM's the opportunity to go to these houses one more time to chat with the girls to see if it is truly the right fit!
